It’s David Ellis

Hailing from the Southside of Chicago, David Ellis has a story to share with the world. Ellis, who works with Special Ed & afterschool matters (CPS), has his hands in a broad array of things including but not entirely limited to community gardening, grass root organizing, visual arts, graphic design, and music. The MC has been featured on sites like blavity, and has landed features at spaces like YCA word play, The Artist Lounge open mic, and more. Ellis’ music is fueled through his passion for sustaining and evolving black community. As for the 24 year olds artists musical context, you’re likely to find him speaking on a broad array of subjects like racism, transphobia, homophobia, heteronormativity, gentrification, love, balance, etc… Ellis seeks to spark action in the ears and hearts of his listeners. Standing on the motto, they tried to burry us, but they forgot we were seeds.
